CoHabit will be building a universal designed communal home for 120 adults with physical disabilities.
CoHabit will use an enriched living model and assist the “Neighbours” who live there to have equitable access to individualized person-centred care.
CoHabit will ensure that each individual living and working within CoHabit will be supportive and respectful of each other.
CoHabit Neighbours will have ...
  • A mindset where everyone looks out for each other and contributes to the home environment.
  • The responsibility to self-direct their own care and manage decision making to participate meaningfully in daily living.
  • Opportunities for supported employment, skill development, health and wellness, social events, and leisure activities through a variety of programs.
Proposed location: Southwood Circle next to the University of Manitoba Fort Gary Campus.
